How to Claim a Retiree’s Arrears of Pay Using Form SF 1174

DFAS have new, helpful tools and information to assist you with form SF 1174 (Claim for Unpaid Compensation of Deceased Member of the Uniformed Service) for claiming the retiree’s Arrears of Pay. DFAS can now deposit an Arrears of Pay (AOP) payment directly to an eligible claimant’s bank account instead of mailing a check.
